men of God (Chosen by the Pastor) to aide and assist the Pastor
along with other ministries in areas such as sick and shut in
visitation, teaching, Baptismal services, Holy Communion and other
leadership roles as needed or instructed by the Pastor.

HEALTH AWARENESS
MINISTRY
Our health professionals provide a
number of health tips to our congregation and also aide in medical
emergencies when needed. This ministry assists in projects such
as blood pressure checks; blood donor drives, first aid, and
actively supports the American Heart Foundation and the Susan B.
Koman Race for the Cure annually.

SEWING MINISTRY
Our sewing ministry is designed to
encourage Christian standards through domestic and Biblical
teaching. Sewing, knitting, quilting and crafting instructions are
provided for future Christian homemaking preparations.

FACES (FACING ADDITIONS CHANGING EXPECTATIONS)
Many people have been in a storm,
weathered the storm and found
their way out of the storm but some
have a problem in staying away from the next storm even though
they see, hear and know that it’s coming. F.A.C.E.S ministry is a
very important part of the church in
that its primary focus is to
be a pillar of strength for persons that
have been faced with the
adversity of dealing with substance and emotional abuse.

ATHLETIC MINISTRY
The Athletic Ministry provides sport
activities for the church family and host many City-Wide
fellowship activities with other churches in and around the
Metroplex. The activity provided through this ministry
encompasses a broad spectrum of Christian Fellowship which
includes the C.W. WALLACE BASKETBALL CLASSIC ANNUAL
TOURNAMENT.

CRISIS MINISTRY
Sometimes our members or others of
the surrounding area fall on hard times and need assistance that
cannot be found any place other than the church where they worship
and serve. The Crisis Ministry is a safe haven for those desiring
assistance with the basic necessities of life when they cannot
provide for themselves i.e., rent/mortgage, food, clothing,
utility bills and medical supplement aid. The Crisis Ministry is
there to step in, step up and help people step out of a bad
situation. Contact hours are Tuesday-Thursday 11:00a.m.-3:00pm

SUNDAY CARE NURSERY
Children, ages, infant to 5 years of
age experience Jesus through music, puppet ministry and stories as
well as various art activities. The nursery workers are there to
meet both spiritual and physical needs during their time of care.
Children are provided a safe and comfortable atmosphere with
careful supervision.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
The Children’s Ministry of Pilgrim
Rest provide an atmosphere in which children understand “THE
WORD” spoken on an appropriate level for children so they can
grow in the knowledge and understanding of the word of God. Our
purpose is to instill the character of Biblical foundations and
the principles of Christ into the hearts and minds of all
children. Equipping them to develop an understanding of Christ as
well as begin building a personal relationship with Him.

Children’s church is an opportunity
provided for children to experience worship through Bible Study,
Singing, Dancing, Arts and Crafts and many other exciting
activities. The children are invited to participate in the
service and encouraged to take on leadership roles.

"YAC" YOUNG ADULT
CHURCH
The Youth Ministry is committed to
providing youth opportunities for personal growth. We seek to
provide experiences that significantly impact the development of
youth through Bible Study, evangelism opportunities and fellowship
through a variety of activities and excursions. You are invited
to join us as we “HOOK UP WITH GOD” (WORSHIP)
connect with one another, (FELLOWSHIP) reach out to
others, (SERVICE) and discover ourselves in Christ
(DISCIPLESHIP). Let no one despise you of your
youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in
love, in FAITH. Our Senior Pastor consistently reminds us
“We walk by faith and not by sight” 2 Cor. 5:7.

ARTS MINISTRY DIVISIONS
Greetings, and thanks for visiting
our website. We are truly excited about what God is doing in the
Worship & Fine Arts Ministry here at
“The Rest”. We are convinced
you will find our worship services to be uplifting,
transformational and in an atmosphere that is comfortable to
experience God in a way you haven’t before.
As a ministry we strive to exhibit
the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through reaching out,
touching, inspiring, motivating, encouraging, and convicting the
souls of men and women of all ages, colors and backgrounds through
the gifts and talents that God has blessed this ministry with.
There are many opportunities to lend a helping hand to someone in
need, and we are dedicated to being an intracal part of giving.
As a ministry, we believe in going beyond the call of singing,
dancing and acting.
Here at “The Rest we enjoy a blended
style of worship, which incorporates music, sacred dance, and
theatrical presentations. Our goal is to provide a spiritually
