Dr. Curtis Wilbert Wallace is a native of Paris, Texas born August 24, 1947.  He attended Paul Quinn College and Houston Baptist University.  He received his Bachelors of Theology from Union Bible College and Seminary of Houston, Texas, Masters of Arts from Survine Theological Seminary of Denver, Colorado (formerly Aspen Theological Seminary of Aurora, Colorado) and a Doctorate of Ministry from Houston Graduate School of Theology.

e  delivered  his first sermon
in  April  1974  and  served as coadjutant to  the  pastor  of
Mt.  Pisgah   Baptist   Church
Paris, Texas.  He  has  served
as   pastor   of   Mt.    Pisgah
Baptist  Church,  Paris  Texas, Lilly  Grove   Baptist   Church, Houston, Texas and presently serves   as   Senior    Pastor/ Teacher  of  The  Pilgrim Rest Missionary    Baptist   Church Dallas, Texas.

 

Under his leadership the following ministries have been implemented: Singles, Marriage and Family Enrichment, Worship and Fine Arts Ministry (W.F.A.M.), Boys to Men Male Mentoring Program, Homemaking, Facing Addictions & Changing Expectations (F.A.C.E.S.) substance abuse outreach ministry, Crisis Ministry, and Wednesday Noon Bible Study.  On October 26, 2003, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the grand opening of “Pilgrim Rest Village”, a senior citizen housing complex.

With the anointed call that rest upon the Angel of this house the Pilgrim Rest congregation has surpassed over 6,000 faithful members. In August 2005 of his most recent accomplishments was the release of Pilgrim Rest’s Worship and Fine Arts Ministry first CD project entitled, “Bringing It To The Nations” A Live Worship Experience. 

Dr. Wallace’s affiliations include:  National Baptist Convention of America Inc., Missionary General Baptist Convention, African American Pastors Coalition, and Houston Graduate School of Theology Board of Trustees.

Dr. Curtis W. Wallace is a motivated man of destiny and purpose who has a deep hunger to win souls for Christ. He is committed to serving God with excitement and a spirit of expectation as God continues to do “A New Thing” within his life and ministry.  He humbly subscribes to the saying, “For we walk by faith and not by sight”, 2 Corinthians 5:7.   Dr. Wallace is the devoted husband of the enchanting Phyllis Ann Reese Wallace, Father of two children and Grandfather of three.
