The Enlistment/Administration Division are servant leaders sent
forth by
God to minister to those who will
become heirs of salvation.
We minister salvation to new
believers and welcome members and
visitors
with great joy and enthusiasm.
We are also responsible for providing information to our members
concerning
personal profiles, classes and any
other pertinent membership information.
While we maintain an accurate
database, we are able to provide Pastor
Wallace with key information as
needed that pertains to the overall membership.
ORIENTATION
Our New Members Orientation is an exciting
beginning at Pilgrim Rest. Our
responsibility is to orient new
believers in the Word of God. Therefore, we
offer an curriculum that offers eight
foundational courses. In this study we
cover the beliefs and doctrines of
Pilgrim Rest that are based from the
Holy Scriptures. During this period
we also acquaint New Members with
various ministries and servant
leaders in the church.
NEW COMERS COMMITMENT CLASSES
In keeping the vision of our Pastor, the New
Comers Commitment Classes
have been designed to lay a common
foundation of understanding the ministry
as it pertains to our Pastor’s
vision, our beliefs, doctrines and ministries.
While it is not a requirement that
you complete all classes before becoming
active in ministry we do strongly
admonish you to complete all classes.
All classes are held each Sunday
morning at 9:30 a.m. in our Fellowship Hall.

BAPTISM
Baptismal services are held each 1st Sunday during our
10:45 a.m.
worship service.
All Baptismal candidates are asked to report to the Membership
Office
between 10:00-10:15 a.m. on the day
of their baptism to sign in.
If you have questions please call

The attire for Women, Men and children is the same white robes and
white socks which will be provided for you at the church.
Please note that all are asked to bring additional undergarments
and all
baptismal robes and socks are to be
returned at the conclusion of the
baptism ceremony.
BABY DEDICATION SERVICES
Baby Dedication Services are held every 1st Sunday
after our 10:45 a.m.
worship service in the Gooden Chapel.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Bible, the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the
inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and
complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and
divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
God-
There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and
eternally existing in three Manifestations: Father, Son and Holy
Ghost.
Jesus Christ-
Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of
the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on
the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according
to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead,
ascended into heaven, where He now sit at the right hand of the
Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and a Advocate.
The Holy Spirit-
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus
Christ and during this age, to
convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell,
guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and
service.
CHURCH COVENANT
Having been led, as we believe, by
the Spirit of God to received the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour,
and the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name
of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now, in
the presence of God and angles, most solemnly and joyfully enter
into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.
We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk
together
in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church in
knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and
spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, an
doctrines;
to give it a sacred pre-eminence over all institutions of human
origin; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of
the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor,
and the spreading of the gospel through all nations.
We also engage to maintain family and secret devotion; to
religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our
kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to
be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and
exemplary in our department; to avoid all tattling, backbiting and
excessive anger; to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating
drink as a beverage; an to be zealous in our efforts to advance
the kingdom of our Savior.
We further engage to
watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other
in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to
cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in
speech; to be slow to take offense,
but always ready for reconciliation, and, mindful of the rules of
our Saviour, to secure it without delay.
We moreover engage that when we remove from this place, we will as
soon as possible unite with some other church, where we can carry
out the spirit of this covenant and principles of God’s Word.
