IDLeaders.org co-founder James Sullivan is
well accomplished, seasoned and brings over 25 years
of cross-media marketing
skills & experience to IDLeaders.org.
Born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, one of
seven children, Sullivan graduated with a Marketing
and Advertising degree from
the University of Bridgeport and started his first
company “Clay, Bardwell & Sullivan” in 1985, at the
age of 23. “CBS” marketing
and advertising savvy attracted the largest client
base of higher learning institutions in Los Angeles
and Orange Counties.
While in California, James also worked with the Los
Angeles
District Attorney’s office to develop an anti-gang
TV Ad
campaign message...the first of it’s kind.
Sullivan was also designated as the Community
Relations
Ambassador for 25 military bases and 38
Chambers of
Commerce in Southern California as their appointed
marketing liaison.
While in California Sullivan found his complete
opposite in
Barbara and married her in 1991; they are now living
in the
Dallas Metroplex.
In 1994, the Sullivan’s were pursued and finally
persuaded to
leave the comfort of their San Diego headquarters
for James
to be the Chief Marketing Director of a new product
division
for MAPSCO, the largest map publisher in the State
of Texas.
Ultimately Sullivan went on to establish Yess Corporate
Services, a marketing, advertising and concierge
service for
over 200 Fortune 500 companies, providing them R&D,
Nat’l TV advertisement, in-house product slogans,
fund raising campaigns
and even created an employee
incentive program that engaged
the local businesses in the community to do more
business with
the corporations and their employees.
Nine years later God revealed to Sullivan that it
was time to
take the gifts, skills, knowledge and experience
that He had
given to him and use it for equipping ministry
leaders for effective 21st Century Ministry Outreach
& Marketing. On April 11th, 2004 Gospelbiz was
created to help ministries spread the Gospel.
Sullivan travels Nation Wide providing marketing and
advertising
for national non profits such as Teen Challenge as
well as start-
up ministries, church planting & mega churches.
Throughout his many road trips Sullivan discovered
that many
churches were not setting the right
atmosphere and lacked
the servant structure necessary to keep visitors
coming back. Recognizing the gap that needed to be
filled IDLeaders.org
was birthed to help ministry leaders increase
retention for
effective church growth.
